This info has to do with any composite carb. The area where the aluminum cap is pressed into the composite body can be a problem and can affect carbs from hpi through to Picco's. I'm sure that the front bearing has been blamed for fuel leakage at the front of the engine when it is actualy the carb, it happend to me with my K4.6. I thought that the front bearing was shot but in fact it was the carb leaking between the coposite and the aluminum, so I took it out cleaned it right up and sealed the carb in that spot. After half a gallon there is no signs of leakage. This could be the problem with some of these engines running hot or hard to find the tune, I could crank it in or out an entire turn and see minimal performance changes. Now that it is sealed it runs like a champ.
#1 is the seal that most are familiar with.
#2 is the seal that is probably never realy been looked at and is the one that was leaking very badly.
#3 is just a good idea.
