I actually saw this on a website where he detailed how he did it.. glued the tires to the rims, drilled and put an air valve in the rim, and actually pumped up the tires..

He blew up quite a few tires before getting a full set to hold air.

The tires are stock I think, just air tight and inflated.. don't know how he did it, but there was some commentary on the website he had with all the rest of the videos. If you sink an engine it's not ruined. I completely sank a trx 2.5 three times, took it apart cleaned and lubed everything put a new glow plug and it started like nothing ever happen to it. The engine lasted a little over 5 gallons, 3 of them were after the last time it sank.
