First off I have a stock savage that I am going to keep stock for a bit more but planning to do a full basher buildup. I do hae a hitec steering servo already though and the heavy dogbones. I have many questions I am hoping you guys can shed some light on aswell as what the progress of my build.

Here is a rough breakdown on what I would like to include on this build:

IRC extended chassis 1" back 6 mm front
IRC shocks
IRC disc breaks
HPI 3 speed tranny
RPM Suspension Arms
New pipe (not sure which one)
Engine LRP Z.28R Spec 3 .28 or Axial .32 Spec 1s Big-Block Engine
HPI Dirtclaw tires with HPI Mag wheels black

For now thats what I have come up with. I will be doing mid tank mod aswell. I wanted to know if you guys see room for improvement with this build or any suggestions you may have I am more then willing to ear em.

With the extended chassis will I run into problems making it all fit? Howabout bodies for it? Will I need different ones? Any other problems u can forsee?

Sounds like it will be a killer Savage!! As far as the engines go, I have heard lots of good things about the LRP, and more bad then good about the axial engine. however I have no hands on experience with either. I use the Picco .28 P3 and Love it!! you may want to consider that engine too. As for the pipe, the only pipe I would recommend is the Buku. It will make any fast engine insane!! I use the three speed, IRC LST shock conversion and it has held up very well. I also use the Dirt Claw tires and really like them as well.

could i possible run 8 of those IRC shocks? that would be badass. I forgo about that picco p3 i heard its great for low-mid range power as the lpr is a bit more top end. Also heard great things about Buku Pipe.

Whats the deal with OFNA linkage? I need to add a HumpPak.

REVISED LIST:

IRC extended chassis 1" back 6 mm front
IRC shocks
IRC disc breaks
HPI 3 speed tranny
RPM Suspension Arms
Buku Power Pipe
Engine LRP Z.28R Spec 3 .28
HPI Dirtclaw tires with HPI Mag wheels black
HumpPak
OFNA Throttle/Brake Linkage

the ofna linkage mod is just adding sliders and springs onto a servo horn, as a set from SMF or purchased separately.

Wow that almost describes my tank. I have the IRC Shocks, IRC disks, Three speed, RC solution roll cage, RC solution shock tower, New Axial 32 still breaking it in New LRP 28 in box (couldn't make up my mind) just waiting for the RPM A arms. If you go that rout it will be bullet proof!! Its built like a tank 50 feet jumps hear I come! Cheers!!

Hopefully IRC will get moving and get some of their stuff in stock. I have been waiting on a set of the TVPs and the LST shocks for a couple months but they're still out of stock. Otherwise, sounds like a killer build!

 Your savage is going to be completely sick man. I want to take off my FLM and get the IRC stuff too. :resp:

I was thinking about that rc solutions roll cage aswell but then though to much weight back on top killing my LCG. I think i am passing on the roll cage. But ya, idea is to make a supr strong basher.

I'm not sure what your savage weight is but mine is 13lbs dry that with the RC solution cage. I cut down 1.5lbs with the cage and the intergy beadlocks I thought the Axial would add weight but for a basher that is light. The cage is very light but bullet proof. Cheers!

how it this a hypothetical thread???

Today went out and get new LRP 3 speed tranny dual disc brakes rpm arms and decided o go with jp3 pipe.

I will have pics when its all installed. IRC stuff is out of order so I can do that step just yet.

Update:

axial .28rr installed and broke in
3 speed installed
dual discs installed
645-mg hitec servo installed
jp3 jammin pipe installed

i made changes to the parts list due to several reasons, Saved $50.00 on the axial over the lrp. Also with buku being so high in priced and still not to many people using em yet I decided to go with the JP3 Pipe. For the sake of chassis and not really wanting o wait I might order RC solutions or FLM... I not 100% decided on this though. Still planning on doing the shocks but wanted to wait on the chassis before doing so. Tires and wheels are on order same with hump pack.

that jp3 pipe is supposed to be all top end...i dunno if thats the way you wanted it.

as far as the engine goes, ive heard good and bad things about the axial, but if you got a good deal on it, then cool beans.
