thanks crash! Ok the wheelie bar, here is where I got it from, the guy's name is Mark. He is retired (injury) and he is into R/C, and he lives right by the factory that makes the parts for him for the wheelie bars

Ive talked to him through email and is a great guy. The product: as you can see, the wheelie bar sticks out kind of far, not like the ones that are like straight up and down. It comes unassembled, with easy to read directions to assemble it. I have read in different places that this wheelie bar sucks and breaks when you have a bad crash. IMO, different parts for our savvys are suited for different driving styles. If you take your savvy out and bash the heck out of it and see how high you can jump, or how high of a hill you can climb, then you take the chance of it tumbling and something breaking, I think everyone will agree. Even the "strongest most bulletproof" part can break in a bad crash. This particular wheelie bar doubles as a drag bar. you can flip it the other way, and drag race with it. And, its easy to take off and put on, so if you are going to do heavy bashing and you KNOW your gonna roll your savvy, then why not just take it off? I don't do any crazy bashing, yes I hit jumps, do donuts in gravel and stuff, but not like in alot of the vids I have seen. I have done 50+ foot wheelies with this bar, and I only have a 2 speed tranny, and, I still don't have it tuned it in to the exact sweet spot. And I have never adjusted the tranny shifting points. I am very happy with the bar. Also, if you happen to break the wheelie bar with a big crash, all you have to do is contact Mark, and he will replace the damaged part with just the cost of shipping. Thats what is nice about it coming in pieces, if a piece breaks you can replace that piece and not have to buy a whole new one. Its just personal choice I guess, I know alot of people like the HPI one which is great. I happen to like this dual wheel setup. I don't want anyone to take offense to this post, this is just my opinion and experience with this wheelie bar.

Looks good, I like the blue WAY more than the red. I was really happy to see that they had a blue one in stock at my LHS when I bought mine. I also like the wheelie bar. Mine still doesn't wheelie (I guess I need to to tune it, but it's only like 2/5 a gallon in...), so I don't need a wheelie bar, but I like the look of that one.

Your next step should be the blue springs!

looks real good man may be a normal savage but i have over 2 grand in mine and it doesnt look any different it looks great!

Thanks for all the nice words guys! Hey big worm, I was actually gonna put a link to your wheelie bar setup in post #9 for those who like the HPI bar, but I didnt have the Ok from ya to do it, so I didnt! YeahYeah, oh you definately need some tuning if you arent wheelying yet! Wait til you get it tuned and broke in, a flip of the throttle will pull the wheels up and too much of a flip of the throttle will flip it right back on its lid!!!!! The springs........thats next, I think I'm gonna get a full set of blue, and silver. Then I'm gonna see what it looks like with one blue and one silver on each arm. If the mix and match doesnt work, then Ill put each set on and go with what looks and performs the best. Again, thanks for the compliments everyone!

svtman, wow, you have over 2 grand in yours and you say mine looks good? Thanks brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks bro! xtremsavage is gonna hook me up with a custom painted gt2 with cowboys, once he gets good with his airbrush! Wait til I post the pics of that!!!!!!!!!!

I just started reading this thread and was gonna ask at the end if you still wanted me to paint a body for and then I seen this post. It's now starting to warm up a bit here (been high 60s to high 70s) the last couple days but the wind is still kickin more than what I want it too. And the humidity has been pretty low too. Hopefully soon I'll get some practice in. I'll be in touch.
