So the most difficult thing I'v been pondering was upgrade in a power plant. I was doing alot of research on the Axial .32 great power sounds great cool looking head. Then I met the LRP owners and I also fell in love with that engine. The local hobby shop swears that the Axial is better and will garrantee it with a new engine if anything ever goes wrong. Sooo... my question is I want a spare mill, anyone else carry spare engines? or should I wait till this new Axial is dust? I want to race for the first time and I think the LRP .28 will do the job better then the Axial. Cheers!!

Yeah buddy, I can tell you right now a LRP .28 is faster than a Axial .32. The Axial .32 is just as fast as the new .28RR, which is slower than the LRP. I would buy the LRP, don't listen to those guys at the hobby shop.

I don't agree with this being the rr is faster than the .32. I have first hand experience between these engines and the .32 is better atleast than the RR I had which was tarble. However, I will never buy another new axial product again as they have tarable customer service and my RR was a piece oc crap and have heard many other horor storys but some have good luck with them as well. You should have deffanetly went LRP, I'm getting the Picco P3 28 as they are probably a little more sound engine and has just about as much power as the LRP. Both are great engines.

Hey, I know exactly what your talking about with the customer service, it SUCKS. I mean, I called in one time to see how much a green head for the engine would be, and they couldnt figure it out until the sales rep. was there. WTF? Maybe it was a new person. I heard and seen that the RR (well the good ones) are about equal with the .32. Maybe I'm wrong though. Bottom line though LRP is better 🙂

I agree buddy. A good running RR will probably keep up with a .32 only because of the high RPM. From what ive heard the RR they are making is detuned some because they were scared because with some modding that motor will take off. If I remember right the designer of it built it to be a top performer there was some complications somewhare with the designer and axial they ended up firing the designer and detuned the motor as they were scared of warrienty issues. Anyhow mine wasnt that it didnt have power it was just the quality of machining was poor and CS then didnt want to take care of me. I ended up getting everything replaced but it was like wringing my own neck.

i have a axial .32 i love it. great power and i think it has a good speed i would go for the axial if i was you my dad likes the os .30vg he ses if i get that engine next time he will go halves!!!
good luck

Hey piper, I have run both engines as of right now I own 2 lrp's for my

monster trucks. They have proven very fast and also very reliable engines. I

have run on of my lrp without the pipe for like 40 sec. straight during on of

the freestyle competitions as my pipe hanger came loose and spit the

muffler. 45 min. later I went on to win the sled pulling competition with the

same engine with a 63.5 lb. pull in the dirt. The motor has proven to be a

great engine in anything I run.

WOW see I know that my Dynamite Platinum .28 could do that. Its even looks like the LRP but different manufacturer. I have seen the power and reliability of my DP.28 Yet the LRP is cheaper. I do love this motor Hands down. It added another level to my LOsi 2 speed when I put it in there for a few days. the speed and power is God I cant tell you. you 'd have to see it.
