Hey all,

well it had to happen at some point didn't it ... ?

I've totalled my first spur gear.

I've got a replacement (i'm sticking with the 52 tooth plastic one for now) and I'm going to install it this weekend. Question is, what do you guys recommend for sticking the slipper clutch pad to the spur?

super glue?

cheers,

I just replaced my spur gear and installed a new slipper pad. It's got tape on the one side of it. You shouldn't need to use anything else.

Thats right, I've never had it come off yet.

oh what joy!!!! thanks guys ... i really should have just popped it all out the bag and had a gander wiv me beer-goggles eh!!

i nearly went for an integy steel spur gear but the meshing/hardened cb/dirt+grit issues put me off in the end ...

IMO.....The integy spur gear suck big time. I have broken 3 of them. If you want a metal gear then I would recomend the HPI steel upgrade or one made from GH hobbies. They are strong as heck and don't break. Some like robinson racing but I have broken them too and I cant see spending the money on it.
