This design is for the X4.6. It provides a lower battery CG than the previous mods, and is (IMO) a little bit stiffer than those versions.

Parts needed:
1 - HPI Rush bumper set – Tower Hobbies # - LXVK03
1- 4†X 4†piece of .064 (slightly thicker than 1.5mm)
1- ¼†X 1/8†grommet
3 – M3 -.5x10 Countersunk cap screws
3 – M3 - .5 Ny-lock nuts
Tools needed:
Normal truck disassembly tools
Dremel with cutoff wheel, or bandsaw (for cutting aluminum bracket)
Jeweler’s files (gotta make it pretty when you’re done cutting)
Drill and various bits
Building the bracket is on you. I will try to get a template put together for anyone interested.
Your bracket should look something like this:

And there are a few changes I made after initial design, including spacing for shocks (yellow arrows) and the hole for wiring (red arrows)

Step 1 – Remove front bumper and remove upper shock bolts.
Step 2 – Trim inner upper control arm shaft retainers (Fig. 1) from both inner sides of front bumper supports (this will be explained later).
Fig. 1

Step 3
Mount the bracket to the upper shock mounts tightly.
Step 4
Position the Rush battery box against the front differential case as shown, and mark mounting hole locations as shown (Fig’s. 3&4).
Fig. 3

Fig. 4
Step 5
Remove bracket from truck, drill mounting holes and install box to bracket with 3 M3 -.5x10 Countersunk cap screws and M3 ny-lock nuts (Fig. 5).
Fig. 5
NOTE: The hole INSIDE of the battery box needs to be countersunk to avoid possible battery damage
Step 6
Reinstall bracket to upper shock mounts, and reassemble bumper braces and bumper.
As you can see, the battery box now holds the upper control arm shafts in place, rather than the bumper brace retainers. (Fig. 6)
Fig. 6
Step 7
Install wiring through bracket, position grommet and install battery.
Note: There is plenty of room in the box for the battery and any excess wire and/or plugs. Just a little added protection for your connectors.

And just a few shots of the finished product:
