I have done this too some of my Savages but if you turn the nyloc nut around the end of it fits into the 17mm hex and give the hex alot more supportVery happy now.
I got the 17mm hex conversion, 2 left hand (reverse) thread nylon nuts and new wheels and tyres. Wheel and tyres 26 pounds for all 4 brand new. View attachment 12765View attachment 12770View attachment 12767View attachment 12766View attachment 12767View attachment 12769View attachment 12771
Was able to get captive wheels nuts over them to.Nice one mate I’ll do that tomorrow when we have some light
Word of warning about those wheels you have purchased. They are quite weak and snap the spokes. Have 3 or 4 sets myself as I think they look great and give the truck a very wide stance.I got the hex kit from wheel spin.
Left hand thread nylon nuts from eBay and wheels and tyres from eBay too. View attachment 12772
Happy days bro nowt better than getting n fitting new parts hope you get some good use 👍Very happy now.

The ones I ordered didn’t have the flange onMaking progress!
The 17mm hubs certainly open up future tire options.
You can also grind off the skirt (flange?) at the base of the nut to get it to fit inside the adapter too.

I purchased nuts without a skirt to avoid that situation and also mirror the arrangement on the right side.

I think there is a slight reflection giving the appearance of a flange 😂Sweet!
You know, I looked at your one pic over and over and it looked like it had some sort of a flange.
I also looked at one of my Savages (this one is all right-hand thread) and these nuts appeared "smaller" than what I saw in your pic, so I was still thinking flange.
After reading your response, I went and found one that had the 17mm upgrade with left-hand threads on the left like yours.
Amazing, looks just like your pic. It's funny how color affects perception. the black nut looks so much smaller.
Have your new glow plugs arrived?
If so, have they helped?
