Haha I'm the opposite and run way more without a body but still trying to figure out tuning and getting it right so makes sense. Thank goodness haven't broken anything as of yet. Can't wait to get to running them more with the body on and lookin good

Great videos guys love it!
Gazzman that V2 wheelie bar appears to help hold a wheelie for longer then the original one, would you agree?

Absolutely GuinnessDublin! I use V2 Much more stability.

you could be right, does seem to hold the truck more stable when on the back wheels, only problem with them is, they only fit with the V2 bumper. And as Itold you before had to drill a hole through the center of it to use a roto start. It also increases the angle of the wheelie over the V1.

What do you mean when you say fit them. They are just an ally replacement for the standard plastic parts. You just replace your parts with these using your old set screws & hinge pins.

Thanks Gazzman.
If your going to use your truck for bashing then it is akways best to leave it all plastic, the ally parts have to flex in them and can bend and crack on hard landings. Also ally parts do add alot of weight to your truck. One of my trucks which is a shelf queen weighs almost twice that of my all plastic ones. On another note tho, ally does look good.

Hey man have a question I just ordered my GT3B finally and two extra receivers I've heard it doesn't come with English instructions is is pretty basic to get all set up and bined together?
Mine came with English instruction, The manual has Chinesse and English in it. It's quite a good manual that explains each function of the handset in indiviual steps with pictures. You can download the manual here if you want to get a heads up on it before yours arrives.

I've learned a ton and taken apart both trucks a couple times to put different parts on and off and on haha. Excited about the remote system and feel like it's time. The new jump packs are a game changer and think the old ones had more then just enough juice now with this I think control is going to be as good as it gets brakes are the one thing that are still making me scratch my head and I'm super close to just ordering a new 25$ set and seeing is starting all over is what I need to do for one of em. Not gonna give up and go that far yet but close I have all the components and nothing is worn to bad or even close. That's been the most frustrating part but all the working on them has also been the most interesting and educational haha I'm ready to just have the fun part some soon

Whats the issue with the brakes. are you runing a single or twin disc setup. I find the main reason for bad brakes is that there is to much play between the pads & the discs causing the brake rod to lean forward to much. I put a couple of extra washers under the heads of the 2 set screws that hold the pads to the gearbox. This cause the rod to sit more veritcal giving you more leaverage and reduces the travel of the servo horn.
The twin setup is alot better than the single but I still find the old type metal discs with the fibre on the pads works the best.

I have the double disc setup and that is the issue I'm having is to much play. I have first tried springs as seen on YouTube and it worked but they seemed to lock up often and when looked back at it the springs were working there way in-between the actual plates and causing them to stick so went back to original setup plus some small washers got them good until yesterday on one of the trucks since new batteries servo has moved further then when set up prior to batts and was super tight could barely stop without ending over which is cool but tried to loosen them just a water screw on top screw and that was after moving adjustment screw all the way out then it wasn't tight enough so moved screw back in then it was decent but after runnin noticed both screws backed out and piston came out of brake bar slot I think going to dig into it today to see if it's still there I tightened up both screws last night before blow down and going to see today I do believe it's still there and didn't lost it just gotta pull brakes to put brake bar back under it and re set them once again inside maybe doing it from scratch with the new battery is best and it'll be good after this. Also gonna thread lock and let sit after the weekend if I can't figure it out today gonna run tomorrow at the park with all terrain so not gonna let no brakes stop me. Haha

Sounds to me like the 2 screws that hold the brake pads in place are stripped where they screw into the gearbox casing causing them to pull out when the brakes are applied. Anyway brakes are over rated, it's all about the going not the stopping. LOL.🙃😘

An easy way to get the screws to grip and stay put is a drop of CA glue in the holes , assemble as usual but let the glue cure a couple days, I did this to my Savage and they stay put and don't strip as easily... I am using the double disc setup, it came apart once but has stayed put since I did it last

Totally agree Jam1, Have had this happen on a couple of my trucks and done exactly what you state, popped a little CA glue in the thread and problem solved. Folks are inclinded to over tighten the screws on these trucks abit to much. Screws into plastic just need pinching up.
