Hi,

I thought I would share some interesting news: I followed a lead from someone on Youtube and found a set of slipper pads from a shop down in Florida! (https://www.gravesrc.com/hpi-racing-slipper-clutch-plate-pad-set.html)

Unfortunately it seems I got the last one so for now it's out of stock BUT, I got in touch with someone at HRP, the distributor for HPI Racing here in North America and he said they are starting to see bigger shipments from HPI in the last couple of months. He seemed optimistic that the brand is getting back in action.

Let's hope this is good sign that we will continue to see more and more availability of the parts that keep our toys running!

Cheers,
Rob

Great news, but old news :D

Well that's unfortunate. I just got my Savage XS used and was hopeful my timing was right for the HPI comeback...

So old news huh...Meaning this is the same old story or someone else recently reported the same thing?

Well HPI "comeback" is been going for quite some time now.
There is a topic in this forum as well so I wouldnt expect new parts available any time soon.

Yeah, makes sense, HPI will have to build up our confidence over a period of consistent availability.

For what its worth, the guy I spoke to at HRP said a large shipment came in just before the holidays so to him it was unusual and he's cautiously optimistic.

Well i don't see people buying them tbh. There is no new models coming..nitro is dead so don't see people buying savage X 4.6. Also I don't see why would anyone buy FLUX over kratons/xmaxxes and so on. I am happy that parts for old models are coming out but..

Yep, I hear ya on that. It will take a lot for HPI to rise up from the ashes and get a solid place in the market.

On the other hand, if the new owners have any shred of competence in running a business, I guarantee they will go all out to make it happen. They are probably going to keep pumping out the current models, get the production line and parts availability up to speed and THEN work on new models. It just makes sense.

To me there is still a good chance because:

1) People always like to buy something different than what everyone else has, not just the Kratons and Xmaxxes

2) People like you and I are still having these conversations on this HPI forum! I think that speaks for itself.
