Gentlemen, I have a request for you. Octane fire 15 tanks. 2nd gear slows down. and the engine drowns. So it doesn't reach octane speed. Dies when 2 gears have passed. Please help me :/

standard setting. With the car in the air, the gas doesn't die. full throttle running and 2nd gear active. however, the vehicle dies in 2nd gear while on the road .. The vehicle is very good and stands up quickly , Spark plug was cleaning, but the result is the same

Great new on my end got octane out today put needles to setting in manual hsn 1 1/16 and lsn 1/8 and it came alive with idle sky rocket adjusted idle and richen up lsn a 1/16th of turn and finally gettin break in going 2nd tank and front wheels are lifting off ground seems like clutches are slipping but will check those once motor is broke in to make sure hope u get yours going bud

I don't understand, what should I do as a result?

Not sure buddy I am fairly new to the rc hobby wish I could help ya mine isn’t shifting yet due to break in or clutches slipping gonna get couple more tank in ol’ girl then move on to adjustment....did u adjust ur 3rd gear setting????

regulated gears. but as I said the car does not take over, the 2nd gear changes and dies. The car took 15 tanks and was not tired. suspected clutch pabuc ...

Did you do a leak test on the engine? In my experience, the head bolts loosen after a certain time of running/sitting/heat cycling. At least on my nitro stuff. I picked up a GST 7.7 almost new in the box for $150 five or so years ago and the only thing I needed to get it running was tighten the head bolts (I should add that I did strip the whole thing down and loctite all metal fasteners soon after, but in theory a pretty simple fix).
If it was mine,I'd spring for a set of Allen wrenches (don't scrimp on this,a stripped hex head bolt from using Chinesium tools down a blind hole is not a fun afternoon!).
Please let us know what the fix was as I'm sure it will help more than one subscriber.
Good luck! Stan Durround

I've also seen a few posts warning of this; But I also cleaned all screws and holes with non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Use the red straw to blow out the hole and use a paper towel folded into a point and wetted with the brake cleaner to chase the threads (Loctite will NOT stick to grease and oil!). I would also advise the use of some nitrile gloves for this operation,as it will take the oils out of your skin.
