Anyone know if I can find a start shaft for an lrp .30? They are discontinued but is there another one that would fit through the backplate? Any help would be appreciated

Also I’m missing the carb pinch bolt. There’s no parts. Has anyone come across this and what the solution may be?

Do you still have yours or is it missing? If you have it, take a photo of it, then add the dimensions to it and post it up. Then others can compare what they have to see if there's an alternative.

Same for your carb cinch bolt thread. Measure the OD and width needed the post up what it is for others to compare to.

I just bolted up these parts and although I haven’t broken it in yet, I’m fairly sure I can make these work just fine. Lrp .32x spec 4

nice?? Ive ran across some people on YouTube who have the parts but nowhere I could just order any.

I should be testing out the sh parts this weekend. Finally got everything I need to get started on break in.

I fought with my LRP30S2 today for about 2 hours. I started with the needles where factory says... which was so lean, it wouldn't even fire up. 2.75 turns out from bottom on both needles I think. Then when I got it to the point that it would run relatively clean and sit and idle for 20-30 seconds without stalling, if it died, I'd have to crank and crank and crank to get it going. I no longer have skin between my fingers. I'll have to check, but it's likely more than 3.5 turns out on both now.

No clue what the deal is with it... was a very frustrating day.

I’m running sh pull start parts on mine as well. Works great!

I have a 3 needle carb on the motor instead of the factory carb. Sealed everything up of course and it runs great! I’ve come to find out over all my years of running nitro that all manufacturers have their lemons. I’m a die hard o.s guy and I’ve had a few that would never ever run right. Lately I had a .30vg that would only run when it was so lean it was on the verge of melting the sleeve and would boil the fuel. No matter what I did it wouldn’t change. Ditched it and picked up another and it’s been a fantastic engine

Yeah, this is my replacement for an LRP28S3 I had in it that I couldn't get a mid-range burble tuned out of. This thing is either lean bog or stalling rich. Spent 2.5 hours and 1000cc's of fuel trying to get it running well. When I did have it running "ok" (still had high idle that wouldn't drop), when it stalled, it wouldn't start unless I richened up the LSN considerably. But then it wouldn't idle, it would just die. If I increased the idle, it would high idle insufferably after a WOT run, even though the HSN was so rich that it couldn't hardly clear it's through enough to shift.

By the end of the day, I had no skin left on my fingers and no patience left. I wanted to set the thing on fire.

With the old LRP28, I think my issue really was a fuel tank issue, so I may tear that thing down, clean it up, make sure the o-rings aren't dry rotted and put it in, then shelve this stupid 30. The 28 has been in a drawer for a couple years... and I likely didn't put it there nicely.

I do have a picco 28 p3 NIB I bought 5+ years ago... but honestly, after yesterday, I could put this thing on a shelf and not run it another year and be just as happy. lol!

This savage has ran like garbage regardless what engine I put in it. Almost seems cursed! I know that makes no sense... but I'm at the point now where I just want to tear it down for parts for my savage flux and call it a day.

Especially since my LRP28 revo and OS21TM revo both run like a top, bash after bash, year after year.

Yeah it could very well be a fuel tank issue. I had a problem with a fuel tank once and it drove me crazy until I figured it out!
