I emailed LRP on Thursday about their 32 Spec 4 Pull Start version and have yet to receive a reply. Their other engines show they're available, but it's a matter of retailers having them in stock.

I ordered mine on Ebay years ago that's all I run is the lrp. 32 in my trucks .. best engine imo for the price

LRP went bankrupt a while back.

Their site shows new stuff, but I'm not sure if they are in production yet:

I've been running an LRP for quite a few years. I have an LRP28S3 in my big block revo, had the same in my SavageX, but it gave me fits, replaced it with an LRP30S2, ended up being my fuel tank leaking and the 28 is probably fine.

So far, they are the longest lasting engines I've ran, next to my OS TM engines.

NEED LRP PULL START ASSEMBLY!!!!

I’m currently doing a savage xl build with a .32x. The problem is that I ordered the bumpstart engine because the pull start was out of stock. I’m hoping find someone that has converted to bump start that would be willing to barter or sell the parts needed for the pull start.

Thanks for the links. They look just like what I need. I need to find the tech specs so I can compare.
Yeah, I downloaded the manuals to try to help. The 32X doesn't have an separate exploded view doc, but it's in the manual. The 32 PS has both. The crank and crank case are the same for both engines according to that, so should just be part numbers 38556 and 38557 which includes all the PS stuff and back plate.

You are correct olds97. Wish I could find those on a shelf somewhere lol. Amain does have the pull rope but that backplate is pretty elusive. I’m gonna try the Losi parts. I’ll post up if they work because everywhere I look for the lrp stuff I find someone else looking for the same thing. Thanks for help!

Well upon further investigation those losi parts are all unavailable and or discontinued on every site I’ve tried.

I guess everything I’ve been hearing about the hobby dying off has some truth to it.

i was probably placing my order when you were typing. Lol. I ordered the sh backplate and pull start from amain. After doing some research i totally agree. If it doesn’t work I’m out $23 bucks. If it does then we have a solution for all the LRP guys looking for the same stuff. Shipping says Saturday so I’ll post up if it works.

So...got the SH backplate and pull rope. It does work.....although how well is yet to be seen. Everything bolts up and works freely with no binding. Based on the measurements, if I do have any air leaks, I’m wondering if a little high temp gasket maker might be needed around the backplate.... We’ll see. Once I get the needed spur gear to fit this into the chassis, i can break the motor in. I’ll update how that goes. Should have gearing tues-wed sometime.

Oh and in case anyone needs the backplate I removed, I will gladly trade it for a pullstart setup. I know a lot of the buggy and truggy guys have pull start setups laying around.

I always use a bit of RTV on the backplate on any engine. Glad to see it appears to fit for you. Have you rotated the crank fully with the SH PS on there? Just to make sure the piston clears the back plate where the little cut out is. Not sure if that's for the sleeve or the piston...

Did a gentle full rotation with the plug out before tightening everything up and after. All smooth with no binding or interference that I can tell. Other than the difference in diameter everything else matches up perfectly.

That’s a bum. To follow up on the one I’m using.....works great. I’ve ran nearly a gallon thru it with no trouble at all. Good luck finding what you need. I was told in an email from Lrp that the roto start and a lot of other parts should be available again by the end of August.
