Hey guys, I used to be part of this forum but haven’t been on it for years so had to re-register! Anyway a few years back I purchased the now discontinued lrp .32 spec 2 (32820) but circumstances at the time meant I didn’t even get round to starting it up for the first time. Now I see that this engine has been discontinued and I’m worried that I won’t be able to get spare parts for it should anything break down. I see there is now a spec 4 version of this engine- do the spare parts for this engine fit the spec 2 that I have? I also can’t find anywhere in the uk that actually carry’s these spares! I also learnt that LRP is now defunct and doesn’t exist anymore?? What’s going on with nitro?? What am I meant to do if I break anything on this shiny new engine? I’m gonna be bricking it that something will go wrong every time I start it up!
I mean am I being overly worried ?? I thought lrp .32 was THE go to big block for the savage what are ppl going to run now?

The way I understand, LRP did go out of business and was brought back by the owner..... not sure on the circumstances surrounding it all but they do have an active website and are taking orders for stuff....

The only issue I've had with the 4 or 5 LRP's I've owned were the o-rings drying up in the HSN/LSN because I didn't green slime them when I got them and I ran nitro so infrequently that they dried up and shrunk.

Otherwise they have been 10+ gallon engines without much issue. I have yet to wear one out... but with my lack of driving nitro much, the o-rings are my only real worry.

I used to have this exact same issue with 2 of my lrp motors!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm not saying that happens only to LRP engines. I've had the same issue on old engines in my "why am I keeping this crap" drawer. SH, Losi. LRP, OS, HPI, they all dry out after sitting for 12+ months unused if you don't lube those o-rings with green slime early in their life. I've since started doing that with new engines so I don't have the issue much anymore with the engines actually in my trucks.

Which reminds me... I have a picco 28 NIB I've had for 4+ years... I should take the carb needles out and lube them.
