savage 25 to brushless

i have converted my savage 25 to electric and need some help with a motor mount that wont slip and maybe going to a direct drive. i used mostly Kershaw design parts and the mount keeps coming loose no matter what. when i can run it it will go great for a while but then starts to slip. any help would be awesome!!thanks

The Kershaw motor mount keeps coming loose and then kicks into a funny angle
I have heard it is a bad design but I'm lost
Kind why I was thinking of a direct drive

I have the same motor mount and have no problems. But I also used bigger screws to hold it down.

So maybe drill them out and put a bolt and locking nut on it?

Or, just use longer screws and put locknuts on them where they come out underneath. Although, looks like your already using 4mm. Hard to judge in the photo.

I use longer screws/locknuts on my nitro savage motor mount plate for the same reason. The 3mm screws like to back out and two of them are under the engine, so it's a pain to keep them tight otherwise.

Sick build. Looks great.. Have you contacted Kershaw? I bet they have a solution. If not what about a mount direct to the plate like the flux uses?

the guy who owned Kershaw passed away i found this out after emails where returned, sad deal he helped me with a lot.
i am looking for a direct drive like alza, i just order some parts from rc monster so i will post some photos when i am done
so far the traxxas 17 mm hubs have worked great.

I heard he was having health issues after I put in an order for a conversion kit with motor and esc. Got a refund a month later, but didn't hear that he passed. Was hoping he would get well and start supplying the kits again so I could still convert my X.

I ended up getting a used flux off ebay.
