Venom makes a nice 1600 mah pack that you can get with a charger and all for less than 25 bux, just search e bay there are lots out there

If you go here, you can get a charger with it as well:

Or, just hit up ebay for something like the @Jam Racing 1 posted and find a charger as well.

I have an old duratrax charger that looks just like this one (with the same specs) that works fine too:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTSA4&P=0

It can charge 1-8 cell NiCAD or NiMH from 100mah to 3000mah (3A max on AC). The most you should usually use is 1000mah for a receiver pack. Most say you can do whatever the pack is devided by 1000, so a 1600mah pack can be charged at 1.6A safely, but I never go over 1A and usually charge at 500mah just to help the batteries last longer

I have that charger as my backup and use an older MRC super brain 959 that the beeper is quieter on unless I'm in a hurry and need to charge more than one thing at a time. It does work fine though. Would need different adapters than I list below.

Need a plug adapter:

Can also get an adapter for your glow heater too as the charger will charge a single cell too:

Or a spider to do both with open plugs to wire something in for your transmitter too if it has a jack:

Typical battery: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVRH2&P=ML

You don't need a charger that versitile, but for the cost of a standard 300mah receiver pack charger that takes all night (around $20), I figure you might as well spend $36 and get one that you can safely charge a 1600mah pack in roughly 1.5 hours, or 1 hour if your careful.

Or, you could give this a try:

Tried to find what the capacity of the pack was, but both sites I looked at said 700mah... which seems wrong for a NiMH pack with 2/3A cells in it.

I use my trusty Hobbico multi charger for most of my RX packs, it can slow charge them nicely and has multiple ports to support up to 3 packs at a time.....

Got a link? Does it peak all 3 as they need it? If so, that would be nice to charge your receiver, transmitter and glowplug all at once.

No I got it a long time ago at Tower I believe it was, it has 4 banana plug ports, they are switchable and have different amp rates to support different packs, I have used the crap outta that thing over the years and it always does a fine job on my small packs...... I made my own leads so i can charge most all my small packs..

I did find that one, but couldn't imagine anyone actually using it with current 1500mah+ packs. Considering it has one port that will output 500mah, another with 250, the lower ones seem downright useless.

well i do charge my rx packs with it all the time, you are right it charges at a low amp rate, I can put on 2 packs at 250 mah and go to sleep without any worry my packs will overcharge ever,in the morning when i pack my gear they are ready and waiting to go into the trucks....
after i am done for the day they all get discharged and stored for next time, I have several 1200 and one 1100 mah pack that are very old and still charge up and work very well and my new 1600 mah packs I treat the same way..... of course in the field I can use my Integy 16x2.5 pro to recharge there if need be, but usually they hold their power level thru a bash day without any problem at all....
