to me......
how old is that
could be a lot of things happened there, Hydraulic Lock, or maybe even a faulty crankshaft with a crack in it..... or even something may have popped up and locked the flywheel while it was running....The motor is 1 year oldhow old is that

I am very saddened to hear you lost your connecting rod. I assume the shrapnel burred other components (the piston/sleeve?) leaving the engine useless. Otherwise could you replace the connecting rod? I am very new to this, but cannot understand the correlation between bearings 'freezing in the bell' causing this. I can visualize too much RPM (under zero load) putting strain on the connecting rod's bushing but fail to see how the races of a bearing can overpower the clutch bell (I assume the clutch bell is stronger than the bearings inner/outer races combined). Could it be perhaps the engine was running too lean, thus lacked proper lubrication? I just bought my first glow engine, however I'd assume the principle of seized parts is the same? Please let us know what the result it and I'm very sorry that this happened to you
and start fresh..... like I said above in my earlier post #5 the cause could be a number of things breaking that crankshaft, and in the induction tunnel of the crank I see rust and signs of foreign stuff in the crankcase, possibly due to not taking care of the
either way it is needing a new
price wise it would be about the same cost , and that is if one can locate the parts in the first place..
in both cases a new bullet is the answerYes I see those are 2 different posters with catrastrophic failures of their engines, things happen when a screaming nitro engine stops suddenlyin both cases a new bullet is the answer
running almost wide open and suddenly stopping, inertia is a funny thing, something just has to give to absorb it all......Welcome to HPISavageForum, a friendly forum to discuss the Savage RC Truck.
