I paid 100 for it and it came with this motor as well. Is it a drop in fit...Note the eight shocks, and radio box ladies and gents'.
It is my guess is this truck was originally a .25/SS that had the X plates added later, could also explain the steel spur.
Edit: I see non-adjustable upper arms, so its not an SS, but it has eight shocks, so it wasn't an X.
Or this has all been changed or the truck was built from parts, either way, it looks pretty solid.

You made a good deal, it would part-out for over that for sure.I paid 100 for it and it came with this motor as well. Is it a drop in fit...
Which motor is stronger between these two...thx
Ps: Is this truck worth doing?

That's what I was looking for but I couldn't tell from the side, thanks for clearing that up.look how the bumpers connect to the side of the towers, thats a give away too
Suppose a person could have swapped in the old radio box, just don't know why.
I have to say that I would replace parts as they break. no use in wasting good parts. and @surleyman, it's now a v1 savage x, the motor I haven't heard of, maybe it was origanaly a savage 3.5? ive never heard of an x with an s-25 engine.
Had a chance to look this truck over. Took the Big Red apart for inspection. The sleeve and piston are like new. Tried to start it. Broke the pull start.
Stuck the 2.5 in. Runs great.
My question is, can the pinch be too tight on the Big Red? If so, how to heck can I get it started?
Thanks
