.28 > .32, but that's just my 2 cents. Congrats on the purchase, ofna makes quality mils.

28 better than 32? I'm confused..........

yes in a lighter rig a .28 would work a lil better. for the rig I am gonna put it in the .32 will make enough torque and have enough speed to make the MMT get off the line well and have plenty of rip. my truck is HEAVY (18 lbs) and should benefit with the .32.... I guess I will see when I get it in and running.....I always liked the Ofna engine I have an Ofna .21 p4 in my USA 1 and it runs well for a 12 pound rig......

well here is the new :nitromill: is all ready to be mounted and broken in..... Gonna be fun running the MMT again soon......

Id have to wonder that if any of us ran a stock 28 and then a stock 32 in the same car if we'd be able to tell much of a difference. I like the look of this mill with the flat color cooling head. Looks bad ***

I largely agree. Only thing I might dispute is RPM range, and how that variance can change the drive-ability of certain motors. For the savage I just see no benefit for going to a .30 or .32. Now for Jam on the other hand who is putting it in a slightly larger truck, I could see where the benefit could be worthwhile.

yup. in this heavy rig I think the torque will be more noticeable than any gain in top speed. I have a .28 SH and thought it was underpowered so I went with the .32 in it...... will know more as I get it running and broken in......

"rote" "aint" a word

Edited for explanatory purposes: During Up's many edits above he routinely misspelled everything. Hence the "rote"

Ok so i did get some things done today so far tore the engine down, checked it all out, no foreign crap present so I washed it with alcohol and reoiled it up... I have the :nitromill: mounts on , exhaust header on. carb positioned properly... next is the clutch and flywheel mounting... UG I hate that part... on to a few Pix of what I have so far....

Thanks for looking......

ok Clutch and flywheel all on, oiled up the ceramic bearings for the bell and got it on too... almost ready to get mounted in the chassis......

Getting there. my hands hurt like crazy from workin on this monster, but will be well worth it when is running.....

Maybe he just wants to delay the torque so it builds better? It's perfectly acceptable to run the clutch shoes backwards UP. It just may eat the shoes a bit faster. Done it myself before.

Uh....Jam, your clutch shoes are backwards you know

Well per the MMT and Savage manual the shoes are on correctly... just looked at both of em to make sure..... but X is right they can be mounted either way......

ok ok, I guess i did put em on wrong. oh well they were working fine b4 on the SH engine. I will change em around today sometime......
