When I first got my new engine back in February I knew this was one was gonna be trouble. I did the usual like check for loose bolts and shavings in the carb. and made sure I sealed the backplate and carb. neck with RTV. I did the usual breakin procedure and this thing would not stay cool. So I spoke with axial and they told me to send it back at my cost because they had some problems with that. After the engine was already shipped back to me the tech. guy calls me and said he found the midrange needle was bad so he smashed the threads and screwed the needle back in the carb...WTF!!! I was livid angry and started laughing because I thought it was a joke. Well finally I get the engine back into my truck and go to prime it and fuel pours out of the midrange needle. I took the needle out and sure enough there are the crushed threads and torn up needle jammed into the carb...unbelievable!!!Axial's response to my email sent to them was "it ran fine and too send it back to them again at my cost!!!" I just had to rant about this..IMO this is unacceptable:stickspank:

Definately unacceptible! You got any pics of the needle? That's insane that they would do such a thing....Call them again and tell them you're sending the motor back C.O.D. and they should take it in good faith and business if this was the case....Sorry to hear your bad news though...

Wow that sux Blazer.I have one of their engines and its just been the opposite for me,its incredible to me that a tech would say something like that.i would be mad also if i was you i would call them back and talk to the owner i don't think he would be very happy to hear that.

I copied this for you guys to read...I have decided to take this problem over the techs. authority...Well I ran the motor in my truck here and had no problems. I put a new o-ring and crimped the threads on the mid range needle. Again I ran the motor for 5 tanks of fuel with no problems. If you would like to send the motor back I will check to see what was done to it, because when it was here it ran great. Thanks for your e-mail:duh: My reply......

I got my new engine installed back in my savage and when I went to prime it, fuel poured out of the midrange need. I have yet put 5 tanks on this engine. I have never been more disappointed in a nitro engine. The quality is piss poor!!!! When I spoke to you on the phone you told me you crimped the brass threads on midrange needle to keep it from backing out of the carb. Does that sound like a quality fix!!! I'd like some feedback on this.

Nice kitchen, needle is a little blurry though.lol But yeah this is bs. Threaten the bbb if they don't fix the issue. Also go over their head. Keep going higher until it is dealt with or call the bbb.

aren't all these nitro engines made overseas? the BBB will be pretty useless in that case...

I agree though...they should be owning up, and fixing the problem...not jurry rigging your carb/needle...

You cant sell anything in the U.S.A. without a buisness licence.Legally. and Axial has offices here in california. So you bet your A$$ that The BBB would love to hear from you......................

This type of thing makes me sick man they screwed up your carb by screwing that mid range needle back in, this makes me think that axial customer service is a joke. I am sorry man. Tell the you wanna talk to his boss !!!!

aah, i see, thanks chad.
don't have one of them over here. it's a bit sad to haer that axial could be such a bunch of useless incompitent a$$es. i mean wtf was the 'tech guy' thinking?? surely a new carb housing and msn aint that much for them to install, swapping everything else over?? seems like the 'tech guy' didn't have a damn clue, which fills me with a great deal of confidence in their products.....:duh:

yeah, man just phone and ask to speak with one of their supervisors. And tell them that they are a bunch of little son of a didly's.

Well I got a hold of axial today and I talked to a very nice lady on the phone. I told them I wanted someone other than a tech or a salesman and she put to the plant manager but he was not in. I left a message now we will see if they call back.:Xfingers:

It's nice to hear all the feedback from my fellow bashers. I'm still very angry with the whole situation, I'm hoping for the best from the manager at axial. I hate to be an a-hole but I think I deserve better service more my money spent!!! Keep this up because I'm gonna copy and paste this thread to axial tommorrow!!!!

Its a simple fix, I just don't understand, why they did what they did, ya know?. lets crimp the threads so it wont back out..... LOL !!! ooh man. tell them you want your money back and get a surefire.32 there customer service is AWESOME !!! like 3 weeks ago I called Steven up and he sent me out a brand new carb of it, THE ENGINE IS A 1 1/2 years old w/ 6 1/2 gallons on it.

The "crimp fix" move, Ha....that's about as laime, as using a roll of 60 grit sandpaper for extra soft toiletpaper....ya hear me boys?....Thats laimer than a vommiting infant, used as a 68' Dodge Truck Hood Ornament....Hello!!!..wow...And you know this has got to be laimer, than a lightsocket for a toothbrush combo...That's a gimmie....Dang!...Thats even laimer, than a ripped up bag of tater chips used for a paint brush.....Ya'll know what I'm say'in?.....That's laimer than.....Hell... THATS LAIMER THAN A SLOBBERY BULLDOG, USED AS A GAUSE PAD REPLACEMENT!!....Can it get any laimer than that?........I need some help here, guys....that's laimer than my laime post here....

I don't understand why I need to send the engine back to you guys again. I did that once and you fix by smashing the threads on the needle, c'mon that is so cheap and dirty. Is that what you call customer satisfaction, what a joke. I want my money back, new carb or new engine. you pick which one and I will return your lemon!!! Your company is unbelievable... I've got some awesome threads going on about your customer service on the internet right now and many are watching what you do. I dare you to screw me over !!!

Ya know, I've had my eye on this very same mill, here at at my LHS. I've been REAL tempted to throw down the bank, and call this green headed, grunt king, MINE, MINE, MINE!!....lol. The LHS has it priced at $279, down from about $350 List.(I think) After some more haggling, I found that I could sergically remove it from him, for $239 + tax. Still, quite a few simolians to shell out for mill below a spec.3, but....It is a .32.... That is,.... until reading this post. Taking this testimonial as truth, the only thing that really comes to mind in refference to Axial is,.....Who commissioned the Committee of Job Placement Specialists, to hired this CLOWN?.......This guy must really have his foot in the door at work cuz,..either he's protected under the wings by being the bosses son, or has real dificulty remembering to breath in oxygen so inriched blood cells can make thier way to his brain... And I say this only because, what company would support this reported occurance? The notion, of an authorized service tech, passing over the standard guidelines in warranty repacement procedure, by not servicing with replacement or refurbishment, is the cold slap in the face here. The idea of "crimping" a fine and delicately manufactured thread housing, was boldly incompetent, and obviously impropper. Thus providing no solution to this authorized warranty claim. And then the shipping costs imposition?....Come Axial. Do the right thing. I hope this helps BlazerX

thats mint ..good job

blaser, i know your'e pi$$ed, but try (i know it's difficult) to be polite with them (explaining you are angry, but more upset they have let things escilate to this...etc) as in my experienced (from both ends) getting angry at staff (even if they are incompitent sob's who don't know their tvp from their tranny) usually ends up in them clamming up and turning into proper a$$es. being polite, calm and composed means they stay calm and are more likely to resolve the situation to your satisfaction. keep us posted bud.

Buyer beware!!!

Well axial called my house again today and replied to my email. He nicely explained that he had done this many times and no one ever had problems or complained. He also said that no work will be done to the engine unless I send it back which is understandable because people do try to rip companies off by modding things and then they break and they wonder why...ie. the broken crank thread. I still can't understand why they just wouldn't replace the defective parts and ship it back or send me the parts? It also speaks volumes of their quality when he told me he has did this many times with no troubles...that statement alone is troubling to me:nono: I once heard a quote that went like this "you will speed until you get caught" and I caught them. I'm curious to see what will be replaced and I'll keep everyone informed. Godspeed fellow bashers!!!
