Hey guys! The piece that the engine sits on, the silver one, i have stripped 1 month ago, replaced it, and I stripped it again today when doing maintenance on the clutch.... I stripped 1 of the 4 screws that screw into it from underneath the chassis. So, since i did ti about a month ago, and again today( I'm no noob, i know how to turn straight), does any company make any engine mount that you know of that is made of stronger aluminum? Thanks, Jeff!

I run both of the Savage engine mount without problems.

Advantage is that the Nova mounts allow you to slide the motor back and forward and side to side.
Nova Engine mounts are in stock now. It has been 3 months of being out of stock.

I have broke two FLM engine mounts with a Modified Picco.

i use the stock mount with longer bolts so there are more threads in contact and less chance of stripping

+1, ive only ever used a stock motor mount without issue. but then again i ran the flm motor plate so i bet that had something to do with it.

I have broke one stock motor mount in my time bashing. Thats caz my FLM plate broke under it. I have never had a stripping issue with any ----> alloy<---- screw hole on the savage. Even with the mount in 3 pieces, the screws held it all in place to the point I didn't know it shattered till I was cleaning it next day.

Alright, well then if i can get some longer screws, maybe i can salvage my mount... Anyone have part numbers for the proper longer screws?

the flm motor plate is much stronger/more rigid than the stock hpi. thus, it will not flex or bend easily like the stock plate and is less-likely to transfer stress/energy to your motor mount & grenade it.

ive many have less than perfect transactions with some flm retailers but if you call (not email) flm directly, they will sell to you and use paypal.

Do you know of an online retailer that sells both flm for the motor plate and nova for the engine mount?

nah. and i don't really remember seeing a nova on-line retailer other than nova themselves or their ebay store.
