I have tightened all the bolts and have put thread lock on all of them. But when I hit the brakes the engine moves. Its a Savage X 4.6 btw. I'm pretty sure it is the servo saver pushing the throttle linkage and making the carb slider bottom out and move the engine but I'm not sure if this is normal or if something is wrong! Can someone chime in and help me out? Also, the engine plate under the engine mount seems real flimsy.

Thanx in advance,

Mine moves very slightly also. You can barely see it on mine. I have an XL with the stock plate. I haven't had a problem and I have run it hard for 5 gallons.

check everything as was said but i know my engine "rocks" a bit when i brake and i know for sure everythings tight, the engine doesnt actually move it just rocks a bit!!

Yeah that's what mine does too. You can only see it at the top of the head (where there is the most movement) and even then you have to watch very closely.

I would think that there would be no way for that to happen? If it is all tight and for some reason your linkages/endpoints are setup so that your servo can put extreme pressure against the slide card (either bottoming it out by closing or opening) then I would assume the linkage rod would bend (or the servo would brake if it is weak one) before it would move your engine and flex the motor plate/mount/tvps/?

Upon further inspection, I found that several of the chassis bolts were loose regardless of having been locktighted. Also, 2 of the bolts were missing, refer to pics and red circles for reference to which bolts:

Thanks to all for the help and wanted everyone to know that after tightening several bolts, not all, but 95% of the engine movement has disappeared.

You might be able to adjust your brake end point an yuor transmitter enough to keep from pushing. Its happened to me before and I was told I just need to adjust end point. Its worked!Simple and free
