I didn't get a chance to pick up a pair of Flm lcg tvps this weekend, so I started building on the stock X tvps. I wanted to make this thread to show how easy it could be to do a mid tank properly, and that you can do it on a low budget.
MGT tank - $17
Ofna throttle linkage - $7
Radio shack project box (3x2x1) - $3
Servo wire extension - $5
Fuel filter - $3
Total cost - $35
I made the tank plate out of 2mm aluminum instead of taking a trip to the hobby shop. I used a Radio Shack project box for my receiver box instead of the RPM box.
Not completely finished with the linkage, but need to get a new solder gun for a clevis on the brake rod. Servo is mounted with angle iron tapped for a 440 screw.
The biggest problem I ran into was finding how to mount the steering servo so I also used angle iron to make some brackets.
Next on order is FLM ext lcg tvps, and Maximizer 1/2in offset beadlocks with an undecided tire (open to suggestions)
