this is labeled as "permanent". is it actually permanent or just high strength ? the motor slipped on my flux today and i'd like to use the red on the motor cinch screws but eventually i will need to remove them. i also wanna use it on the motor mount screws.

any thoughts ?

ya it holds pretty well lol i used it before by accident and had a real hard time!! lmao

it WAS an X, i just converted it yesterday my tork finally showed up.

thanks for the info, i'll just stick to using the loctite blue then.

kool, waiting for a build thread with pics

i put the pinion on the armature with red & also my tranny cups with red.

gonna use blue everwhere else

NEVER use red on aluminum. Blue all the way brother! I used red for same reason and even after i heated it, the threads from my mounts came out with the screws. The red will actually destroy (oxidize) aluminum in time.

Go to your local hardware store and get 3mm split lock washers. Use the blue locktite and the lock washers you will be perfect

You want to use Blue loctite for any type of machine screw.

Blue loctite hold excelent and is not permanant. You can still back them out with a little bit of effort.

As far as platic parts use CA glue to hold the screws in place.

If the platic is stripped out, put a little bit of JB Weld for plastic on the screw and drive it into the whole. The JB will setup and be like new or better than new.

ziptie trick works great to for stripped plastic screws

x2

Plastics you want to use super glue, CA glue, or loctite 425 is for plastic. Threadlock is not recommended for plastics.
