Well my savage is about to receive another round of new parts. This time it is a set of FLM ext. TVP's and a mid-tank mod. I just got the TVP's and new driveshaft in yesterday along with rpm receiver box, antenna mounts, and FLM servo mounts. Waiting on servo ext. and ofna 250 fuel tank which should be here on thursday. If everything goes well and I get my oneway bearing in I should be doing so bashing this week end.

Thanks to Justin, Nick at SMF, and AJ for the help and parts.

Getting the steering servo mounted so that everything was flat and at a 90 degree angle was a bit of a pain and involved some grinding of the servo and skid plate. Making biggerholes in my crossmembers for the steering today and drilling holes in the IRC midtank plate so it lines up as well. Have to grind down the crossmembers under the motor mount more tonight so the driveshaft will fit. Off to the hobby shop tonight for screws as well.

Anyone ever mount the RPM box in front of the rear shocktowers behind the motor? Thinking this would give it a nice clean look.

Where to mount the on off switch you can't put it in the rpm box if you put it in the back and it doesn't fit in or behind the rush box. I can fit it next to the tank by the exsust pipe but I an not sure whether or not the switch can take the heat. What do you guys think.

Can you not maybe make something that will mount behide the rear shock tower that can hold the ON/OFF switch?

I'm wondering if the switch wont fit because of the size of your Rx?

the rpm box is a great place to mount the switch.

I'm wondering if you take the Rx out of its plastic casing if you can fit & the switch into the rpm box?

That isn't the issue the wire from the batt. to the switch is not long enough to reach to the back of the car. It would fit in the rpm box fine.

Okay got the switch mounted and thanks to a package I got on sat afternoon the switch fit in the rush box. Thanks Bad.

Thats all I got a chance to do this weekend.

Oh yea what do you guys think of using ball cups for steering.

That battery box of yours looks really sweet. Is that from RPM? I cant seem to find it at their website... do you have a part number or link for it?

Pope sorry I forgot to respond to this. I mount the tank and the rpm box right next to each other, it definitely gives the truck that clean look. Take a look at my truck maybe it will help a little. I made my own plate out of aluminum and just mounted everything including the steering servo on it. If you could use any more pictures let me know or any question I'm me at "[email protected]"

Thanks FX I can't do that as I have the ofna 250 tank there is really no room for anything there is like a 1/4 of an inch infront and behind the tank.
