HPI may have been late to the game, but it appears they had the winning play in their back pocket the whole time. The BLITZ short course truck is here to dominate the local and national CORR level racing scene. Go check it out on hpi's website for full details. This truck looks more realistic than the other offering's to date.

We punish our E-Firestorm Flux's with that same tranny and it has taken way more abuse than it's probably intended to and still no problems. This is where this class should be heading...Officially licensed tires. We already have the bodies and the wheels are somewhat real deal but these tires beat the pants off of everything currently on the market. Once again, HPI comes through IN A BIG WAY, never a disappointment. Thanks HPI!!

Now, I just need 2 trucks shipped to the office ASAP and we are all good...haha PWWEEEEAAASE:resp::resp::resp:

Thanks,

Bryan @ SMC

Lol same here couldn't bring myself to own something traxxas. I was looking at the strike but now I dunno…

What's with all the Traxxas hate? There would be no short-course class with out them. In fact, there'd be no MT class or Savage if it wasn't for Traxxas.

Just saying.

I for one don't hate anything. Just experience from my brief ownership of an old tmaxx, plastic splined shafts and plastic gears don't belong on a nitro rc imo

This subject has been beaten to death all over, we all know this. Just putting forth my experience and opinion. No hard feelings I hope

The BLITZ faired pretty well in it's debut at the Short Course Nats. at R/C Madness in CT. this weekend. SMC's Jesse Robbers claimed the 2nd position with his blitz in the highly contested Open Class finishing a mere 4/10 of a second behind 1st place after a full 6 minute run. John Schultz piloted him BLITZ to 6th in the A using SMC's LiPo's as well. John also took 5th in AE SC10 stock class which allowed the BLITZ to compete in their category. HPI's designer of the BLITZ and Firestorm, Eric Schauver(spelling) brought home 7th. Congrats to the HPI team for having a very successful weekend with the new truck and a special Thanks for everyone who ran SMC products!

I don't know if anybody noticed a nice little feature of those tires:

HPI Racing said:
While making use of the Maxxis Trepador tread pattern, Erik blended unique design characteristics with inner fabric belting that extends the life of the tire

BELTED TIRES!! Oh, I hope this is a foreshadowing of wonderful things to come for RC tire tech...how awesome would it be to be able to buy radial-belted Dirt Bonz or Aggressors?

Still open. They moved to a new facility for the racetrack. I think the hobby shop is still at the old location. I keep in touch with Chris as he is a big distributor of our products...He has been for years. No CT. for me, I live in Va!!!
