Problem taking apart lrp engine

Okay I'm tearing my new lrp down for cleaning....just to make sure its all good in there....
Anywasy I got the sleeve out and I go to get out the piston, but the connecting rod will not come off the crankshaft....Its at too much of an angle to slide off almost and gets stuck.
What is causing this????

ya should have the rod at the lowest point and it should come off with some wiggling
