I thought this lid was kinda cool when it came out and there was a discussion in the shout a few days ago about whether it would fit on a savage, so I decided to bring one home and see if it fit. It fits the XL pretty good I think, and it fits really well on the standard length savage. I really like the baja buggy look since you can see all the shocks really well. I also like how the body is really open, should provide tons of airflow into the front and out the back. Also gives lots of clearance for the exhaust from the ERCM end bleed to escape! No need to cut it so it should make a really good bashing lid for rollovers too. Sorry for the crappy pics, I still don't have a good camera.

Oh forgot to mention that this lid is meant for shortcourse trucks like the Slash and HPI Blitz. It's part #0080, and it's painted with Pactra Outlaw Black and Competition Orange. Here's a couple links where it can be found.

Yeah, I think it will be just as good as having no lid, as far as airflow is concerned!
