I think I have a few in pieces and parts also put away for a rainy day when and if I feel like building them.....
I am more a finder and restorer of old dying neglected RC vehicles and bringing them back to full running status
My very first Rc was a nitro. But I had problems from day one. I would spend more time trying to make it run than actually running it. I loved the sound and smell of nitro. But it just isn't for me. I went electric and never went back.I have 9 currently. Probably have had 30 over the past 17 years.
Currently:
Losi micro high roller
Losi micro sct
Blade MSR (micro heli)
Brushless revo
Brushless stampede 4x4
Savage-X
OS21TM revo
Big block revo
jato
The more I run my electrics, the more I like them. I was pretty much nitro only for the past 17 years, except for the micro's. I had those for winter/rainy days.
That's so cool, I have come to the realization that this hobby can get a little expensive. It's fun when you have a friend or two to play around with. Makes the hobby that much more enjoyable.I have 2, my 12 year old savage x, and a losi 10 t truggy, the losi just sits, just broke in ,they don't make them any more, it has factory 3.4 nitro, sway bars, performance tuned pipe and the ROSS system ,which starts your engine automatically from the remote, which is awesome, I like spending all my extra cash on the savage, it s my favorite all around vehicle, I don't think I could afford to keep a bunch of vehicles running. I have had other s but when I went somewhere to run with friends it was the savage that went, so learned to concentrate on it.
My first real RC was a xxx-nt. I bought it in December... it was 10F outside. I had no clue what I was doing and couldn't get it to start. After running 4 C batteries dead in the heater, I finally got it started... in my dining room. To be fair, at the time, the dining room table was where I worked on it. I never saw my cat run so fast in his life! Mine and my wife's eyes got as big as saucers as I quickly ran outside with it... down a flight of stairs out of our apartment. lolMy very first Rc was a nitro. But I had problems from day one. I would spend more time trying to make it run than actually running it. I loved the sound and smell of nitro. But it just isn't for me. I went electric and never went back.
Not nearly as long as my ego did. lolHAHAHAHA
how long did the eyes burn?
if HPI/Ripmax hadnt decided to put the axe to the parts supply chain, you may have very well had one easy enoughOne nitro is more than enough for me. My kids have two traxxas stampedes that require front end parts regularly, and that takes up most of my time. Curbs suck!!! I'm glad I can't find the new savage xl 2.0 anywhere, it looks so sweet. I'd be tempted for sure.
