Axel/wheel extenders

Hi folks
A quick one this, I have a savage x and want to make it wider improving the handling etc.
will I be able to use the standard wheels (14mm i think) or need new ones 17mm?
if so its not a straigh case of the axels I will need new set of wheels and as I have 3 savages I would like to stay the same.
Any ideas very welcome

My 2 cents, but axle extenders tend to put an unnecessary amount of stress on the hubs and A-arms. If it were me I would look into some new wheels with an offset.

RPM sells wheels with 1/2 " offset and they work well. also have em in 17 mm and 14 mm, I have a set of revolvers in black and they do widen the rig a bit to add to stability somewhat......may be worth looking into...
