Am I wrong when I say that the Baja 5B SS was the last kit HPI released?

All of their new stuff, the Savages, the RS4's... all RTR now.

What gives? Are they going away from kits? This is what set them apart from Traxxas.

Sure RTR and ARTR's are great for bringing new people to the hobby, but why are they forgetting about us diehards?

I agree, I actually dislike rtr models. I like the sense of accomplilshment I get from building it and not to mention you know your truck much better when you build it from a pile of plastic and screws

i love kits all my rcs are kits . they let you build it right and check things out and you get a sense of accomplisment when you put it together part by part

Here is what HPI responded with: (Mostly Hotbodies, but they still have kits. No word on a new Savage kit though.)

Thank you for contacting HPI Racing and Hotbodies customer service. Sorry to hear that you could not find any Kits on our web site but I believe you may have missed some of our kits that we have available on our web site. I will put a few links to some of our kits that we have depending on what you are looking for. We still make the kits that so many people love.

As for the Rs4, we stopped making it because the motor got discontinued from the manufacture so we are working hard to get a good motor to put in a SS version so that should be here shortly. But if you are looking for something new I would suggest the Cup racer. It is a great kit and a fun car to drive.
