I have the HPI wheelie bar on one truck but am looking something a little different for my other. Do you all have any suggestions?
 
i use and love the MDF SPURRS WHEELIE DRAG BAR. its a better design i think as it has the two wheels instead of just the one in the center....

ya i just noticed that,I'm not sure were you can get one,sorry didnt realize they had dissapeared
 
i just did a search around the net... couldnt find them anywhere... Some foreign country in europe i think (couldnt understand the language and google didnt want to translate) had them in stock but i couldnt work out their currency....
If anyone find them... please post it up.

It looks like a great wheelie bad for road use.... i would most def take it off for bashing

that wheelie bar is fine for bashing..........
 
I cant find them anywhere either. If anyone knows a link to them please post it up. I would grab one up for sure.

he doesn't make them anymore. he sponsored me.......and he was doing real good with them until Slaxxas saw in one of their forums that he was making them.......and people were emailin Traxxas asking could they buy em. soo traxxas found out it was him and came in saying they were gonna ppress charges and stuff like that on him.....so he stopped making them. i still have a few parts for them here at the house here somewhere....but JoeGuam is the first to get em....he asked first.

as you can see....they take a beating pretty well!!!!
 
Thanks Soulja. Not the news I was hoping to here lol. I rekon I will have to see what I can do. I really like the 2 wheel design.

Do you have any recommendations for one made for a Savage?

wow i didnt know that happened to him,he was a awsome guy to deal with and a great wheelie bar design in my opinion..
 
yes....Mark was awesome. traxxas messed that up for everybody.....because he made a bunch of wheelie bars for damn near everything.
 
How could they sue him? Was it really close to one of their designs or something? If not, that means they could threaten to sue any aftermarket company purely on the basis that they make things for a Traxxass brand truck.
 
don't know Mike...but he was pretty upset when i talked to him last. his email address isn't good anymore.....so i hope he's okay. he was hurt to the max....for real
 
Yea, he was a great guy and a good designer. Traxxas really did him wrong and he did not know how to handle it. I am like Soulja, it was a great bar to bash with and held up on any surface you ran them on.
 
You guys should check out the New Era wheelie bars they look similar in design and double as a skidplate that goes under the rear skid plate. From what I can tell they take a decent bashing also, I installed it and did some jumping on a 3-4 foot hill. They are still standing strong and haven't bent or anything. Check them out:

i may try one considering the they are not to expensive... I'm quite happy with my hpi one.... thanks though...
