Hi folks,

Have followed break in procedures according to owners manual for my Savage X 4.6 but I have also watched some you tube videos and read other guys opinions on here.

Basically I have ran it for two tanks at idle and two tanks at no more than 1/2 throttle as per instruction book. Is it now safe to tune it or should I do some more running in?

All help gratefully received.

Cheers

Now it is time to run a few tanks thru running on the ground and limit your throttle to 1/2 and after that you can put a tune on it and start having some real fun with it...

Just don't go from 'Break in' rich to a race tune. You need to tune each tank just a little bit closer to performance for at least 6 or 8 tanks. I still go easy on them after that till I've run at least a gallon. A good break in makes for a long running, well performing engine.
