what else does a savage 21 gearbox fit?

Welcome to the site. All the pre x models have the old style trans case the newer ones are easy access cases. But they are all interchangable.

Welcome to HPISF!!!! Everybody already has you covered, but wanna add one note. I believe the trans case in the newer savage XL has extra "webbing" for added strength. I also think the Flux trans case is the same way, but don't quote me on it. I just remember readin that some of the newer cases have extra webbing for strength.

Will the box off a savage X 4.6 drop straight into my savage 21 without any other mods sorry if this is a repeat question but I need to know before I spend £65 on a box

ye n it will be easy access the new ones can b opend 3 screws on top n lifts out no more stripping truck down as far as I’m aware just like you’ve bin told
