Vintage Savage S-25 carb issues

Working through my Savage as it has sat for many years. I have an issue with the carb throttle slide not moving. I have the engine out of the truck as I had to replace the one way bearing and changing the clutch shoes just because. Should I be able to move the throttle by hand? Carb has been soaking to clean it up and still no go.

soak it in Denatured alcohol or even nitro fuel, it will break down the goo making it not slide

Success. Got the slider out. Now to re assemble with new hardware as I stripped a couple hex head bolts. Fingers crossed she will be running by Friday. Thanks Jam 1
