Hi,
Well now my savage is midtanked I think its time to give it a good tune. I have read vaious guides on tuning. Is there any musts which these videos miss? Also I understand nitro engine have to be tweaked every run depending on the weather. Well because I live in the uk particulary in one of the wettest areas in the uk the lake district. I will have to tweak every single run. So what are these tweaks i have to do when do i richen or lean under what weather conditons?

Kind Regards
Elliot :)

Hi Thanks for the reply. Is this correct how I have read it?

Warm up to running temp
High speed pass listen when throttle off
Lean hsn in 1/12th increaments until there is a hang then drop to ideal
Richen hsn in 1/12th incrematns until it drops straight back to idle

Thats hsn set

How do you set the lsn after that (sorry if I am being thick)

Then after lsn I reset Idle

What adjustments do I have to make with various weather conditions

Thanks
Elliot

Just set your idle gap from .5mm-1mm and then tune the engine exactly how the guide says, it's worked for hundreds of people, I'm sure it will help you, maybe read it a few times.

Hi,
Sorry to be a pain but its the lsn which is confusing me. Once I have set the hsn my lsn is still going to be rich what are the signs of this when I let off the throttle? Also whenI have found that I have leaned the lsn 2 much by the engine dropping striaght to idle then idle increases do I turn the lsn back 1/12th.

Thanks
Elliot
