Hi all, I’ve just got a new savage xs flux and on the second run the drive cog has broken in half! I’m running 2s battery. Is this normal? The cogs look like they’re made from cheap metal. Does anyone one do sronger cogs? Or does the slipper clutch need loosening? Also rounded of a few screws so will need to replace them with stronger ones. Thanks.

I run my HPI Savage XS on 3S and no problem with the gearbox shredding cogs. And I have tighten my slipper all the way to the bottom. I make sure to be off throttle on landings, but mistakes happen offcourse.

Yeah the hardware are really cheap quality. Use really high quality allan keys and it works better. But yuo will need to replace screws from time to time. Really annyoing for such a expensive little truck,
