Tips for building a pulling sled

I'm looking to start designing a pulling sled, I'm hoping some of the pro's can chime in and give me some pointers to start out on.

Wheel type / size
Sprocket combination for proper pull length, aka tire rotation to weight movement ratio

Stuff like that, please help a guy out!
