Hi all, So picked up a TT pro-28 mill to put on my latest savage build and need to set the needles on the carb to base settings. This engine came from a Thunder Tiger MTA4 s28 which I have downloaded the manual for but in the manual it shows the carb as having the LSN on the side were you would normally find the Mid range needle and not in side the throttle slide. It would appear that this carb was fitted to the Pro-28B-R engine and the one with the LSN where the MRN would normally be was fitted to the Pro 28BX-R/28BD-R engines. Both these engines are the same with the only difference being the type of starter shaft and back plate.
The base setting for the LSN in the MTA4 manual shows it to be 6 1/2 turns out which is the carb with the needle on the other side to mine but can't seem to find any info for my carb and 6 1/2 turns out just seems to be alot to me.
Here are some photos of the TT Pro-28 with both versions of the carbs, I have the 1 in the 1st photo & some pictures from the MTA4 manual.
