Tamiya engine

Is anyone familiar with this engine? My bro gave me his old savage and this was on it. I’m tempted to buy an hpi 4.6 and replace it. I’d like to know if that’s a good idea or just keep this one.

That is a good engine in reality, simply a Force engine rebadged for Tamiya, That was built for use in the TNX Race truck now discontinued but Force still has parts available should you need them, if you do decide to replace it I would be interested in picking it up, PM me and we can work a deal......

Thanks for the info!! I’m going to try it out and see if I like it or not... I’ll let you know if I’m going to replace it.
I think there might be an issue with the carb I’m going to have to address.
