Stripped spur gear / battery led query

Hi guys,

My engine mounting bolts came loose (No thread lock -newbie mistake) and now my plastic spur gear (76937) is all stripped. Is everyone using the metal ones for their savages? And is it just a straight swap out? Also I was hoping to get one of the on board led battery indicators but from what I've seen HPI no longer make them. Is this the case or is there a better / alternative one?

Go with the Robinson Racing 16/48 combo, if meshed right you will never have an issue. No mods necessary to swap them for the stock setup. The battery indicator is discontinued, luckily there still appears to be some out there. I found both items on Amazon.

I use the steel one piece 47T HPI spur in my X with an HPI HD bell. The RRP one should be good as well.

don't forget the led light only work with a hump battery, not the AA batterys
