Stock xl 2.4 tx, can I use an analog servo?

My HPI SF10W throttle servo just died. I have a few old analog servos around, can they be used with this radio system? I have a HITEC HS-645MG and an airtronics 94102 sitting around.

I have the stock horn, are the number of splines an issue?

I did a lot of reading on the Internet, various opinions over the years / forums, seems that it is OK as long as you do not have a high end radio with FRS or something. Decided to give it a try. Seems to work fine. WARNING- check your failsafe!! I believe I had to reverse the throttle setting, when I tested the failsafe, WOT!!

I needed to change the horn to fit the Airtronics, there was one in the parts bag that fit.

Just to clarify, the HPI SF-10 & SF-20 servos are Analog.

jargonbomb you are correct, I see that now in the specs. I was obviously incorrect in combining two different technologies into one. 2.4 tx / rx is actually unrelated to digital or analog servos, at the low end anyway.
