Stock shocks with big bores...

Hey folks, had an idea that I wanted to float. I got the hpi big bores on a new X SS I just built. I really liked the setup on my flux and wanted them for the nitro truck as well. Got to thinking that it might add something to the suspension setup by running a regular savage shock without the spring opposite of the big bore to add some extra damping. I figure with some really light oil in there it would take some load off of the big bores without adding to the ride height..anybody ever do this or have any thoughts if it would be worth the time to do it?

ive never tried it nor see it done. if you end up giving it a shot, let us know how it all works out.

ya I'm afraid it could make for some hard landings,but as frddyj said i've never seen it done so let us know how u make out!!
