Starter shaft

Can someone please help me out I am looking for a starter shaft for my hpi 4.6 the one with the hex drive can someone tell me what size it is and maybe we're I can get one at??

If you mean this then I read somewhere that the Hyper 21/28 shaft may fit.

If it looks like that one ? Then you are out of luck ! I bought the last new one in the world about a year ago . Just buy a new engine . Big Red .28 will work

or u could do what i did take old shaft out get a old steel rod (an old screw driver worked for me) cut it down to size insert it into engine where shaft goes then put a one way bearing on it and another roto back plate works fine

I just went through this and fixed it this morning. I couldnt find that part so I bought a HPI 109535 Nitro Start Back Plate off Ebay and cut the chuck side off a drill bit the diameter needed with a dremel then attached the new starter shaft adapter from the kit with the included set screws and installed the plastic cover. Cost me $18 and its working flawlessly.
