Q: Are there RC‘s that look like the Baja5b in a smaller scale?
// Hey everyone, I got into the RC hobby about ten years ago when I was younger and my dream car has always been a HPI Baja5b, because of its design. I got into RCs again this year and currently own a WR8 Flux, Carson King of Dirt Cage, Rlaarlo AMX12 and a couple of Tamiyas (Durga, Dark Impact, but they are shelf queens). I‘d love to by a Baja but it simply is a little to large for me and my use so I was wondering if there are any RC‘s that are the same style but 1/7 oder 1/8. I love Tamiyas BBX because of the similar style but 1/10 is to small for me. My dad used to own the Kyosho Scorpion XXL VE when I was younger and that’s kinda the direction I want to go, but Scorpions are hard to find here (and also not as good looking as the real Baja).
Oh yes and I also want a Baja that’s a little smaller scale because I worry about the price of the electronics. I had to take my Carson motor apart yesterday and saw that sand destroyed the Kevlar around the rotor and a new motor for that would already be around 50€, so I‘m afraid if stuff like that happens to a 1/5 brushless system I‘ll go bankrupt in no time. I know the gas Bajas are quite cheap used, but I really enjoy building the whole car and I‘m also not into gas engines.
