Should I just go to factory setting on the needles to tune my savage tomorrow?

hey guys I'll be tuning my savage later on today and was wondering if I should just make the needles flush with the carb body and begin tuning from there. Think it couldn't hurt

If your having trouble tuning then yes I'd set all carb settings to factory and tune it from there.

I was trying and it was getting there and good but it had this problem, where sometimes the engine would bog or just not want to respond at all at full throttle. The low end was working great but once it crept into the mids - highs it would cut the rpm. Below is a link of mine to what happened after I was trying to tune. It was at base settings in this vid.

Please any help would be really appreciated guys. Thank you for all the help.

Check for any cracks in the tank? Have you tried sealing the engine with high temp copper silicone? How old it this engine?

sounds as if it is still rich on the high needle, keep turning it is 1/12 a turn at a time until it either stalls or goes away......

Before I reset it back to factory settings it was tuned optimally for today. It was acting well from low- to mid range and at full throttle it wouldn't respond to it and just bog down. Or it would respond but With a very sluggish lazy feel. Btw in that vid I didn't want to press all the throttle as I don't know if I'm damaging the engine or want it to stall

I would adjust the high speed needle 1/4 adjustments. Keep an eye on temp see if it improves.

1/4 turns is too much, think of the needle face as a clock and tune in 1/12 or 1 hour increments or else you may pass up the sweet spot and make it too lean.....

Use a piece of fuel tubing in place of The spring on the linkage for the brakes.

HOBBY SHOP ????? Damn they gonna charge ya a small fortune just to look at it...... are your steering and throttle servos stock? if they are think about upgrading to a couple different ones, a stronger servo will make the throttle and brakes work much better, there are servos on e bay for good prices and if you look at the specs try to find one with at least 150 ozin of torque for throttle and something with 200 or so for steering.....

Damn man it's just that problem with it not responding how it's supposed to. You think it could be caused by an issue relating to the spur gear/clutch bell since I changed those out for heavy duty ones. I just hoped I didn't burn out the clutch or anything. But thanks man ill be looking into some servos
