I have the octane, but looking for some decent shocks, anybody recommend ones to get, the springs on the back are weak, says down, would doubling the shocks help, like 8 instead of 4? Just wondering

What shocks do you have and what springs? I know I was able to get stiffer springs for my plastic big bores. Yellow springs are pretty firm. I had ordered white for my flux hp like I have on my X, but the seller sent me 2 yellow and 2 white. Ended up working out well as I put the yellows on the rear of the flux which sags a lot on take off.

EDIT:
Looks like the octane uses the red ones already in the rear, which are the stiffest HPI appears to offer.

Maybe double check that you have the red ones on the rear.

I have the silver ones on when I got the truck, very weak I think someone tried stretching them out because now the are not straight they have a curvey look and very weak, so thanks for the info, just need stronger springs

You can also use the bushing clips that come with those shocks to help stiffen them up. I run the plastic sleeve bushing on the top instead of the upper spring. There is no need to run 4 shocks.
