As you guys are probably aware, HPI parts, specifically the piston sleeve and conrod set, which is HPI1489 part number, have become almost unobtainable in terms of availability and cost. I know that the F4.6 is based on the Force .28 motor. As far as I know, the internals (i.e., piston, conrod, sleeve) of the V1 and V2 are unchanged. I also know that the parts from the Dynamite .28 8T (DYNE1523) are interchangeable with the HPI F4.6 motor.

After lots of research, I have found the new Force .28 engine's piston sleeve part number, which is CP2804/5A-1. My question is, does anyone have experience with replacing the above-mentioned part number from the new Force .28 engine with the old HPI F4.6 motor?

Thank you.

I'm currently in communication with the suppliers of that part, in China. They have committed to ask the guys at the force factory if the parts would be compatible.

Hopefully they can provide some clarity.

If anyone else knows or have experienced please let us know.

They did let me know that the parts they have are equivalent to the Force motor parts with part number DYNE1523. So I'm planning to order those. However, we will probably only know if it works on the F4.6 motor by the time it arrives and I try to fit it. Let's see what happens.
