Savage xl wheels and tires.

Bought a used Savage XL 5.9 and I really don't like the look of the big tires and wheels.
Looking for some advice to what others have done.
I really like the axial beadlocks and the trencher tires. But someone said they are really heavy.
Any advice would be great. Pics would be even greater.

@EUGENE477 wheels and tires are really a personal preference and very dependent on the terrain you're running on. Overall I'm a fan of the pre-mounted Proline Trencher's.

Thanks Woodie. That's the setup I've been eye balling. Really can't beat the price for wheels and tires.

I really like traxxas 3.8 chevrons on their geode rims (1/2" offset) on my X. The only thing that sucks about them is that they have traxxas keyed hexes. So you have to cut the little nubs out of the hex. They aren't overly heavy or wide, so they don't add a lot of rotational mass. The tread pattern holds up well on pavement running and doesn't have a ton of side bite in the grass. It's just a good all around tire for the bashing I do. The extra width makes the truck a bit more stable as well.
