Savage octane won't shift into 3rd.

10 tanks of fuel in and my octane won't shift into 3rd. 2nd is spot on but after 20 plus adjustments still won't go into 3rd. Any suggestions??

I'm not familiar with the octane. But with nitros another reason for not shifting into third (or any gear) is that the engine isn't reaching the necessary RPM. This is usually because the tune isn't right.

From what I'm hearing from other Savage Octane owners is that it is taking a lot of tanks (20-30) for the engine to really break-in and come alive. You can try messing with the needles too but you probably need more tanks ran through it.

I've got about 13 tanks through mine and it's shifting. I got it shifting into 3rd when I was adjusting it around tanks 5-7. Have you watched the official HPI video on tuning the tranny?
